Wet Carpet Extraction in Bettendorf, IA

Wet Carpet Extraction in Bettendorf, IA

Wet carpet extraction is the first and most important step in wet carpet drying. Air movers dry. They do not remove standing water. If the carpet and pad are still holding gallons, fans alone will take days and the pad will start to smell long before it dries.

Our crew at Bettendorf, IA Wet Carpet Drying uses weighted extraction tools on wet carpet in Bettendorf, IA. The technician stands on the tool, which presses the carpet flat and squeezes the pad underneath while a truck mount or portable unit pulls the water out. One slow pass with a weighted tool removes far more water than a hand wand. We go over the area in overlapping rows until the carpet stops giving up water.

Before we start, we take moisture meter readings across the room and past the visible wet edge. Water wicks sideways through the pad, so the wet area is almost always bigger than it looks. We mark the full boundary and extract all of it.

Wet carpet extraction in Bettendorf, IA sets up everything that follows: float drying, pad decisions and carpet water damage restoration. Skipping it is the most common reason a DIY job ends with a musty room.

Call Bettendorf, IA Wet Carpet Drying at (833) 606-3282 and we will get the water out today.
